At our next meeting on Thursday, June 4, 6pm at the Ascot Library, 120 W. Florence Ave, we will discuss grants for our schools:
- Beat the Streets will propose a grant for $5,000 for wrestling mats to begin a wrestling program at Diego Rivera High School. Beat the Streets cultivates youth development in underserved communities by encouraging a desire for excellence, respect, teamwork, leadership, integrity, and perseverance through the instruction of quality wrestling programs. Together with your support, BTS-LA strives to enhance young men and women’s lives in school, sports and the community.
- Freemont High School will propose a grant for $4,626 to have their football helmets tested and reconditioned.
